What started out as a way to warm up and stretch before a surf session or a long run, slowly turned into something else. Yoga was benefitting both my mind and body. So I started taking classes at a local gym and my yoga practice soon turned into teaching.

I quickly realized that I wanted to teach classes where everyone shows up wearing whatever they want, being whoever they are, and they just come to move and breath as a collective. Even after a decade of teaching I still bring that same philosophy to all of my classes.

I'm originally from a small town in southern Maine but once I turned 18 I hopped on a plane to Oahu where I received my BA in Marine Biology. I have a deep love for the natural world, especially the ocean. So naturally my favorite color is blue and my favorite places are by the water.

My dream job would be saving whales and teaching yoga

A little more about me...

For quite a few years I worked in conservation and animal medicine, but after having my first child teaching became front and center. It was something that provided a great life/work balance.  I have been teaching for over a decade and after experiencing the benefit of yoga throughout my own pregnancy I sought specific training to expand my teaching to meet the unique needs of prenatal and postnatal women. I really love teaching but I will forever have multiple projects happening all at once - making jewelry, healthy skincare, decorating and redecorating my house being just a few. Someday I hope to be working back in the field with marine mammals but for now you can find me teaching classes throughout Seacoast New Hampshire and Maine.
